Nine Point Nine connects women and their community by creating and inspiring passion through skilled trades. We provide the BuildHERS pre-apprenticeship training program to launch women into financial independence and to help close the gender gap that exists within the construction industry.

Job Position Description:
We’re looking for a full-time Executive Administrator as we launch our first cohort in June 2025. No knowledge of the construction industry is necessary! Ideal candidate would have significant nonprofit organization or educational experience. Must be self- motivated but will be mentored by experienced businesspersons serving on the Board of Trustees.

Role and Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to complete the administrative tasks necessary to prepare the pre apprenticeship program toward launching in June 2025.

Prepare program schedule proposal for the first cohort of students, consisting of classroom, workshop and field experience.

Coordinate annual application and required reporting with state for Pre Apprenticeship and Eligible Training Provider List with assistance from the Chairperson of the Board.

Coordinate training and certification of instructor with Associated Builders & Contractors.

Recruit students through multiple avenues including but not limited to social media posts, career opportunity events, industry events, and coordinating board presentations to community groups.

Coordinate communication with website subscribers which may include prospective students, business partners, or donors.

Process student online and in-person applications and coordinate applications with Associated Builders & Contractors.

Assist students with the workforce training grants application process for tuition reimbursement to the program.

Communicate with students regarding applications and with any acceptance or rejections.

Recruit employers to participate in hands-on experience hours for students, to provide career, leadership, & safety presentations for cohorts, and to provide career opportunities for graduates.

Research and identify corporate, individual and foundation sponsors and provide grant or sponsorship information to Board to consider application for funding.

Complete grant writing with Board support with grant drafts and proofreading.

Assist with setting up office and classroom at HopeCAT in Sharon ahead of first cohort training.

Complete other duties assigned by the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications

Experience/Education - Required:
-
Minimum 60 credits of college education required.

Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years’ experience working in education, social services, or business field preferred.

Previous work within non-profit administration is required, either as an employee or significant volunteer.

Skills and Abilities:

Basic knowledge of and experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Hours & Compensation:
-
Full-time Salary Exempt position averaging 35 hours/week

Salary depending on education and experience: Range of $47K-$54K annually

Nine Point Nine is located within the Hope Center for Arts and Technology (HopeCAT) in Sharon, PA.
